Macon began conversations with Rumbold and Kuhn, Inc in early 2019. After having a detailed conversation, we assessed their storage capacities, predicted harvest size, and commodity prices, and both parties agreed it would be to Rumbold and Kuhn, Inc. benefit to add permanent storage for another couple million bushels. With a pre-harvest construction period and total costs coming in at 1/2 of steel bins, we recommended adding a 180′ x 384′ hoop building immediately. By September 2019 the structure was complete, and 15 days later it was completely full.
